What I do

I work directly with business owners who want to grow their business and need help with the sales and marketing side of it. That might mean generating more enquiries, increasing sales, improving your website, getting more from Google, making advertising work harder or simply working out where the biggest opportunities are.

I don’t start by trying to sell you SEO, a new website, Google Ads or any other particular service. I start with your business.

We start with a conversation

Most businesses come to me through a referral from an existing or previous client. We start with a conversation about your business, where it is today and where you would like it to be in 6 and 12 months. That becomes the goal. From there, I work backwards to understand what needs to change to get you there.

Then I look at what you've already got

Before recommending anything, I need to understand what is already working, what isn't and where the opportunities are.

I look at your website, Google presence, search positions, competitors, advertising, content, conversion rates, customer journey and how visible your business is in AI tools such as ChatGPT. I also look at the commercial side. What you sell, who buys it, what a customer is worth and where better sales and marketing could have the biggest impact.

This is a fixed piece of work. It costs £1,950 + VAT and normally takes 1–2 weeks. At the end of it, you'll know what I think you should do, what I wouldn't spend money on and where I believe the biggest opportunities are.

Then you decide what happens next

There is no obligation to continue working with me. You can take the findings and implement them yourself, give them to your existing team or suppliers, or ask me to help. If you want me involved, there are several ways we can work together.

I can advise you

You or your existing team do the work and I provide the strategy, direction and ongoing advice. This works well if you already have good people around you but need someone experienced to help decide what should be done and in what order.

I can manage it

I take responsibility for moving the plan forward and coordinate the different pieces of work. That might involve your existing suppliers, people I bring in, or a mixture of both. You still own the decisions. I make sure things actually happen.

I can do the work

Where it makes sense, I can handle individual pieces of work directly. That could include websites, Google Ads, search exposure, content, conversion improvements, landing pages, tracking or other digital work. If someone else is better suited to a particular job, I'll tell you.

Or I can become your growth partner

For some businesses, I become much more closely involved. Rather than working on individual marketing projects, I work directly with the owner on an ongoing basis to find, prioritise and deliver opportunities to grow the business. In simple terms, you get someone experienced on your side looking at the whole picture rather than one marketing channel.

How I get paid

I like this to be straightforward too.

For defined projects, we agree a price before the work starts. For ongoing involvement, we normally agree a monthly fee based on what you need me to take responsibility for. In some situations, where there is a clear opportunity and we both want to build something together, I may also work on a performance, revenue-share or equity basis.

There are no complicated packages and I don't sell services simply because they're services I happen to provide. If I don't think you need something, I'll tell you.

What I don't do

I'm not an outsourced marketing department trying to sell you as many marketing services as possible. I'm also not an agency where you meet the senior person at the beginning and then get handed over to someone else. You work directly with me.

My job is to understand where you want the business to go, work out what is most likely to get it there and then help make it happen. Sometimes that's a new website. Sometimes it's fixing the one you've already got. Sometimes it's Google Ads, search, content or conversion work. And sometimes the best advice is to leave something exactly as it is.

The goal isn't to do more marketing. The goal is to build a bigger, better business.
