The problem

Red-Penguin was already a successful signage, print and branding business with an impressive portfolio and customers ranging from local companies to major names including BMW, Jaguar, Savills and DHL. The problem wasn't the business. It was how the business was being presented online.

Their website didn't reflect the quality of their work, communicate the full breadth of what they could provide or give potential customers a particularly compelling reason to enquire. For a company whose entire business is helping other brands get noticed, its own digital presence was underselling it.

What I found

Looking at the business as a whole, there was a much bigger opportunity than simply making the website look better. Red-Penguin offered a broad range of services, but that breadth wasn't being properly translated into the way potential customers search and buy online.

Someone looking for vehicle graphics has a different requirement from someone looking for large-format printing, embroidered workwear, signage or promotional merchandise.

Trying to communicate everything through a handful of generic pages meant both Google and potential customers had to work too hard to understand what Red-Penguin could actually do.

What I changed

I worked with Red-Penguin's existing creative team to rebuild the digital side of the business around how customers actually find and buy its services.

The new website was structured around individual commercial service areas, giving each major offering its own clear destination. That meant better visibility in search, clearer information for customers and much stronger routes from landing on the website to requesting a quote. We also made far greater use of Red-Penguin's existing strengths: its portfolio, breadth of capability and impressive client list.

The aim wasn't simply to build a better-looking website. It was to turn the website into a tool for generating business.

The outcome

The commercial impact came quickly. Within just two months, Red-Penguin reported a 30% increase in enquiries.

The business now has a digital presence that better reflects the operation behind it, clearer routes for customers to find individual services and a much stronger foundation for continued search growth. Most importantly, the website is no longer simply somewhere to show people what Red-Penguin does. It's helping generate new business.
